I cannot recommend Oakwood enough, having used them in 2008 to first buy, then let out and eventually sell my place in Stoke Newington. Their expertise, client service, honesty, friendliness and personal attention to your specific needs have been nothing but outstanding. In particular Jay has made all three processes as easy as possible, kept me informed and was always willing to go the extra mile to find out the answers to the questions I had.
If I ever moved back into the area, I know exactly who I would phone first. Thank you Oakwood (and Jay!) for making my moving in, renting out and selling experiences as easy as possible, especially as each was my first time.

I bought my flat in Clapton through Oakwood 4 years ago, and had no hesitation in returning to them when it was time for us to sell it. We really appreciated the friendly and personal service, and rapid responses to all of our queries, at every stage of the process. Andy gave us a prompt and accurate initial valuation and we were impressed with Oakwood’s effective marketing and considered approach to coordinating viewings. They were also exceptionally patient and good-humoured when dealing with delays from our solicitors. We felt very well informed by Oakwood throughout, and they helped to take a considerable amount of stress out of the process thanks to their efficiency! They are a very knowledgeable team and really took time to listen to our requirements, whilst balancing these with what was practical. I cannot recommend Andy, Jay and the rest of the team highly enough, and would certainly look to use Oakwood again if we returned to the area.
These guys are just incredible. It really felt like everyone in the office was behind us. Exceptionally professional with a real ‘family feel’ (and just the most excellent problem solvers). Oakwood Estate Agents are the best possible choice in the Stoke Newington area. They are honest and responsive and they sold our property extremely quickly. Jay, who valued and then was placed to sell our flat is extremely friendly but is not afraid to give an honest answer and opinion and that had been seriously lacking from the agents we had tried. We tried two estate agents before Oakwood and neither we able to sell the property because they overpriced it. Oakwood were more realistic and sold the flat within one week, and the price reduction was not severe, it was just right for the market in the area at the time. I can’t recommend them enough. Their fees are very reasonable in comparison with others also.
We have just bought a house with Oakwood – and have been really impressed from start to finish. For a range of reasons the process has been quite difficult but we were very well supported and advised by Andy and the team. What was most impressive was how well they advocated for the people we were buying from when things were difficult , whilst still being very fair and transparent with us. I would happily buy or sell a property with Oakwood – although hopefully not for a long time yet !
